106 olive ridley hatchlings released in Calapan; more expected

CITY OF CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro — A total of 106 olive ridley sea turtle hatchlings were released back into the sea early Sunday morning, after emerging from a protected hatchery in Barangay Navotas. Robert Alfante of the city’s Bantay Dagat and Fisheries Management Office (FMO) identified the hatchlings as Lepidochelys olivacea, one of the smallest
