BARMM advisory body: Forcing marriage on raped woman impermissible

COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’ (BDI or House of Religious Opinions) has issued a fatwa (religious edict) declaring that it is impermissible to force a woman to marry her rapist. The fatwa, posted on BDI’s official Facebook page on Friday, emphasizes that rape is a grave crime in Islam, warranting severe punishment, and that
