MANILA, Philippines – Public school teachers are now receiving higher allowances, clearer career paths, and reduced paperwork under sweeping reforms ordered by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and implemented by the Department of Education (DepEd), in a move aimed at strengthening support for educators nationwide. Education Secretary Sonny Angara said the policy changes reflect President
