DILG sets meeting to revisit local gov’t code, eyes SK reform

MANILA, Philippines — Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla on Thursday said a meeting to revisit Republic Act No. 7610 or the Local Government Code will be held next week and may include discussions on reforming the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK). Remulla previously called for the abolition of the SK, citing dwindling participation, a proposal
