The Philippine economy capped a turbulent 2025 with a weak fourth-quarter performance, dragging full-year growth below target amid a slump in government spending on infrastructure due to the widespread flood control corruption scandal. Gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the fourth quarter slowed sharply to just 3 percent, down from the already disappointing revised 3.9
