Luistro: We respect SC, but power to impeach rests on House alone

MANILA, Philippines — While they respect the Supreme Court (SC) as the “final arbiter of constitutional and legal questions,” Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro reiterated that the power to initiate an impeachment complaint and decide whether it would prosper rests on the House of Representatives alone. Luistro, in a statement on Friday, hours after lawyers supportive of
