Mindanao ferry mishap death toll up to 54, with another body recovered

MANILA, Philippines — The death toll in the sinking of the MV Trisha Kerstin 3 has risen to 54 as the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recovered on Saturday the body of a male near the site of the wreck. In an update, the PCG said 293 people survived the incident, while 25 others remained missing.
