Mount Maculot closed for rehabilitation, tourism planning

LUCENA CITY — The municipal government of Cuenca, Batangas has temporarily closed Mount Maculot, a popular hiking destination, as it rolls out new tourism and environmental management measures. In an advisory, the local government said hiking activities on the 3,107-foot mountain will remain prohibited “for the foreseeable future” to support efforts toward responsible and sustainable
