No special treatment: Sabungeros’ families want cops in regular jail

MANILA, Philippines — Families of the missing sabungeros (cockfighters) called on Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. to transfer detained police suspects to a regular jail facility. They also urged judicial authorities to consolidate the cases pending in various courts. The families, including state witness Julie Patidongan, appeared before the Department
