3 Senate panels approve universal healthcare medical aid program bill

MANILA, Philippines —Three committees in the Senate have endorsed for plenary approval a bill that will institutionalize the Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (Maifip) through the Universal Healthcare Medical Assistance Program (UHC MAP). Senate Bill No. 1593, which seeks to establish the UHC MAP, was recently approved by the Senate committees on health and demography; social justice, welfare
