Sotto: Senate should fast-track Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial

MANILA, Philippines — The Senate, which will serve as the court for the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, should wrap up the proceedings as soon as possible, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said on Friday. Sotto said he will suggest that the impeachment court convene from 3 p.m. onwards, Monday to Friday.
