Taal Volcano gas emissions weaken, seismic calm continues

LUCENA CITY — Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions from Taal Volcano in Batangas province have significantly declined, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported on Friday. In its morning bulletin, Phivolcs said it measured only 167 metric tons of sulfur dioxide released from the volcano’s main crater over the past 24 hours, a level
