What are you tired of hearing as a woman in 2026? Let’s discuss.

How ironic is it to be bombarded by misogyny as soon as calendars hit Women’s Month? By now, we’ve all heard what congressman Bong Suntay said about actress Anne Curtis during a House hearing. The internet had a field day with the conversations that followed, but it also revealed something that many Filipinos have long ignored: that we have fostered a culture of sexism that allows men to so brazenly objectify women, as Suntay did. In this Yappler session, we want to ask you: What are you tired of hearing as a woman or about women in 2026? Share those exhausting statements that you hear every day as a woman on Thursday, March 12, at 5 pm in the Gender Equality chat room — because we are all so sick of it. Yappler, a blend of “yap” (to talk continuously) and Rappler, is a new monthly community chat series on the Rappler app happening on Thursdays at 5 pm. We’re opening the floor for people to yap about an issue captivating the community. To join the yap: Download the Rappler app for iOS or Android, and create a free account. The web version is also available here. Tap the app’s Community tab and join the Gender Equality chat room. Enter the Gender Equality chat room at 5 pm on Thursday, and send your stories there. A moderator will be steering the chat to guide everyone. We will read some of the chat room messages in our next Yappler video, to be released on Rappler’s social media. Check out the videos we have already posted: Play Video Play Video Play Video We don’t just want to tell the news; we want to hear your side of it. See you on Thursday! – Rappler.com
